Shiraz 2005

Picked April 1st after an almost perfect season. Crimson hued wine with intense perfume, touches of spice with lingering raspberry and cherry fruit flavours on the palate. Fine tannins and subtle oak ensure enjoyment now or cellar 3-5 years. Baume 14.8.
An open fire & lamb shanks beckon.

Shiraz 2006

Picked April 15th - a very mild summer - we waited for the sun to lift the baumes. Unfiltered, crimson colour with rich berry flavours closed aromatics at this stage – fine tannins and spicy oak/marzipan characters. Drinking well now, but has potential for 5 years plus. Baume 14.5
A warming beef casserole with good company.

 

Selene Sparkling Shiraz

This sparkling red from our vineyard has flavours of cherries & spice with a hint of dark chocolate & should be chilled well as an aperitif or enjoyed with fine food.
The name refers to a moon goddess in ancient Greek mythology
